Once upon a time in Kargil:

When our politicians become DEAD WOOD, they started raising smutty ingots (or points in other words) that resulted controversies. People start giving their pros and cons views, which facilitate the politicians to gain fame. First they raised the issue of CHARTER OF DEMOCRACY, and yet its ink hadn’t been dried, our ostracized ex-priminister Mr. Nawaz Sharif stated that he wasn’t made inform about Kargil operation and he came to know about it by Indian premier Mr. Vajpayee who told him, “you’ve ruined my trust.”

Now as Mr. Nawaz Sharif has claimed that military command had kept him in darkness and didn’t tell him about the subjective operation, then in such case he has to answer the following queries. So here we go,

1)     General Zia-Uddin Butt who was the head of ISI department at that time and chief of the most reliable intelligence agency of Mr. Nawaz Sharif, had definitely informed him about each and every movement of that operation. Kargil operation was not the child’s play about which he didn’t suppose to be get notified.

2)     Priminister also has his civil intelligence IB and other affiliated departments which keep on informing him about all sorts of internal and external movements. Didn’t they get the signal of Kargil maneuver? The answer is definitely in “yes”, as no doubt such agencies never hire lethargic correspondents. Hence they had certainly given this news to the premier, as after all these agencies are totally out of military control.

3)     Whenever war starts, the foreign embassies become high alert, their intelligence cells start functioning day and night, i.e. they continuously keep on watching the host territory with cautious sight. Hence in this respect they had absolutely caught the wind of Kargil intention, so hadn’t they alluded this news to our ex-premier of at least to our foreign office?

4)     I have already said that military operations are not children’s game, that is, you cannot start it whenever you like without preparing yourself. There is a proper BUILDING PHASE before initiating such sensitive operations. And I don’t think so that it’s hard for ISI or IB to collate that phase. Plus, along with the files of rest of other matters, the details and internal sum of BUILDING PHASE was also placed on premier’s table. If he had read those details thoroughly then he wouldn’t have found any difficulty to deduce an upright conclusion about KARGIL.

5)     If just for the moment we assume that our premier really didn’t receive any briefing about Kargil, then why didn’t he dismissed that ISI chief when the sand of war was settled down; on committing such carelessness? But instead of this he promoted that person on the rank of Chief Of Army Staff, so this thing lead us to suspicion that once Mr. Nawaz Sharif wasn’t made inform by military and ISI, so in this respect General Zia-Uddin Butt cannot be considered PROFESSIONALLY SOUND or in other words he had betrayed the trust, then why our premier bolstered his rank?

6)     When the war was on its peak, General Pervaiz Musharaff while giving his interview to an international broadcasting organization said at that time, “Everybody was on the board.” This thing depicts that before commencing the war everyone was made inform. That’s true that military is an organized and disciplined institute and no action is said to be launched without final “yes” of the high command. So this thing is logically authentic that premier was made aware about Kargil war. And it was really nastiest when our ex-premier said to Mr. Vajpayee that he had no information about Kargil advancement, this thing had certainly cheered that Indian that now dissentions have arose between civil establishment and military. Thus right after that he inaugurated a global campaign by spending millions of dollars just to propagate that Pakistani army is a ROUGH FORCE. Thus this action really ruined the image of our arms.

On September 24th, 2006, a premiere of President General’s book “IN THE LINE OF FIRE” held in New York, in that book President has written that a complete briefing on Kargil was given to Mr. Nawaz Sharif on February 5th, 1999, and right after that with the assistance of freedom fighters with FCNA war was commenced.

So what else Mr. Nawaz Sharif has asserted that he was unaware about Kargil operation is nothing but as exercise in futility.

Reasons behind the startup of Kargil War: -

Now here we will discuss that what were the reasons that stimulate the need of Kargil intervention. So here we begin,

In 1984, Indian breached the Shimla Pact (1972) and occupied the 3/4th area of our Siachen Glaciers. Since that time till yet that snowy zone has been turned into a polar war precinct. Our forces were twisting and twining (or getting vexed/irritated) that if Indians can make naked intervention over our glaciers then what such a big deal if we give them “surprise” of hoary altitudes of Kargil.

Below the Kargil heights we see Sirinager-Laieyya road moving on the mountainous passes, Laieyya is the capital of Ludhakh, there we will find that on going upwards this pass becomes bifurcate, one of its route joins Siachen while the other one merges with Chinese border. On both these routes India has deployed its two divisions, i.e. one on Siachen route and the other on Chinese conjunction. Now the most important thing, which is the root cause of Kargil operation, is that, the above road, which we have so discussed above, is the only main supply route (MSR) from where Indians receive their ammunition, grocery and other major amenities. If that MSR gets destroy then those Indian divisions will definitely get stuck over there and thus can easily be subdued. Once their convoys shall be blocked then there won’t be any difficulty left to surmount them. Plus the devastation of MSR was also not much hard; it was merely a matter of little artillery shelling, and they would have stared to death. Thus, it was the major reason of Kargil operation.

If India can occupy our Siachen peaks in 1984 by violating Shimla Agreement (1972) then our advancement on Kargil can also not be declared illegitimate. That was a natural and logical reaction, which is simply unobjectabale. Can anybody answer me that when India dwelled in Siachen then why that avenger (righter of the wrongs) US didn’t talk about SANCTITY OF LOC?

After the victory of Kargil, it was quiet easy for us to deal India with the lingo of power, i.e. it was very unproblematic for us to claim that we won’t leave Kargil unless India doesn’t vacate our glaciers. But our ex-premier after getting influenced by Indian bluffs and American threats ran towards Washington. Perhaps he was thinking that India would molest us by turning this operation as a hot reason despite knowing that we are now a nuclear power and the story of Kargil started a year after our nuclear trial blasts, i.e. in 1999. Being a nuclear power isn’t such a small thing; the example of 2002 is quiet easy enough to speculate. For more then a year India remained on our borders with its twenty hundred thousand military, thousands of tanks, several missile units, thousands of MIG29s, dozens of Harriers and Jaguars, numerous nuclear tapped missiles and MBRLs, but it couldn’t dare even suppose to attack us, because it know very well that though our military is not of its level but the thing which holds them back is our nuclear proficiency. War is won or loses by minds, one will die if one gets frighten.

Some spectators and inquisitives think that our air force didn’t induct Indian war aircrafts because it was not ready for this action. Well, for their kind information India brought just half of its squadron on the sky of Kargil and at the initial stage our terrestrial army succeeded to ground three of their air-ships along with arresting one of their fighter pilots. It wasn’t any difficult for us to send our sir force out there; the bases of Sarghodha and Rawalpindi were full ready at that time, but the reason is that wars are usually fought in limited terms on disputed grounds. That’s one of the main reasons why we didn’t use our air force. And when US the great raised the slogan of sanctity of LOC, India came out of its trousers and started air blasts from the very top of Kargil heights.

Epilogue: -

We haven’t heard any Indian advocating against their aggression in Kashmir, we haven’t found any of them saying that Indian occupation of Kashmir is illegal or what else they have been doing in Siachen is illegitimate. But our politicians are kept on asserting this time to time that military had kept the establishment in darkness before launching this operation, so there should be made an inquiry in this regard, which is no doubt highly unjust.

Kargil was a natural action and a critical demand of time. People who promulgated Pakistani arms as ROUGH ARMY can never be sincere to nation. Mr. Sartaj Aziz, who was foreign minister of Pakistan at the time of second term of Nawaz Sharif’s regime had spoken in one of the BBC programs names HARD TALK that if India doesn’t show any flexibility for the salvation of Kashmir and Siachen disputes then Kargil will be here, Kargil will be there and Kargil will be everywhere.

So this thing shows that person was a pro-Kargil subject.

Long live Pakistan, long live Pak-Military.
