Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif: His past, present and future: -

Why Pakistani masses didn’t remonstrate at the time when General Pervaiz Musharraf along with his sub-ordinate generals burked Nawaz Sharif’s democratic government? This is a very critical question which our ex-premier is still unable to answer. In the same manner, President General Pervaiz Musharraf is nowadays also incapable to find out why his so-called loyal members of ruling party PML (Q) are rapidly joining PML (N) who hadn’t even played any effective role on oppositional ground during these eight years?

Well, the answers of these queries are very simple and straight. We all know that Mr. Nawaz Sharif earned great fame and reputation by doing nuclear trial blasts in Chaghi in 1998, but unfortunately he couldn’t preserve his eminence for long and instead of using his majority in the parliament for constructive legal reforms he started combat with military, judiciary and mass media. Within a year i.e. in 1997 he expelled Mr. Farooq Ahmed Khan Laghari from presidential office along with Mr. Sajjad Ali Shah who was chief justice of Pakistan Supreme Court at that time despite of the favor which Mr. Laghari gave him for deracinating Ms. Bhutto second term rule in 1996. After conquering president house and Supreme Court he moved towards GHQ, he took resign from General Jahangir Karamat and tried to engage new military general (Pervaiz Musharraf) in entirely civilian tasks like roads’ construction, tracing ghost schools and spying electricity filchers in Punjab.

In 1999 premier Nawaz Sharif started bus diplomacy with India without concerning the parliament, i.e. he betrayed its trust in straight words, Ms. Bhutto and Molana Fazal-Ur-Rehman supported this action while Qazi Hussain Ahmed strongly adhered in its opposition. That was the event when first time we saw heavy remonstrations against Pakistan in Sirinagar and Anat Naag, and Abdul Majeed Daar who is the leader of Hizbul Mujahedeen openly cursed Nawaz Sharif on betraying Kashmiris in one of the press conferences in Islamabad. Later on Kargil war began, during war I was watching Major General Rashid Qureshi, the spokesman of Pak-military, constantly asserting on media regarding non-involvement of Pakistani soldiers and that the entire warring exercise was wholly done by Mujahideen. This assertion was deeply acceded by Mr. Nawaz Sharif too, and then what happened later on? How the war stopped? What image Pakistan gained through this cease-fire? How India cashed out this event to disfigure us globally isn’t hidden from us at all. For more detail regarding Kargil people can refer the following link of mine, http://chiltanafghan.jeeran.com/template/archive/2007/7/270097.html .

Soon after the end of Kargil war Ms. Madeline Albright, ex-secretary State of America gave intimidation to attack on Afghanistan. And now this thing isn’t hidden from us at all that in 1999 Nawaz’s government allowed Washington to settle it’s headquarter near Islamabad in order to systemize their operation against Usama Bin Laden in Afghanistan. So these were the aspects which consequently resulted severe protests against Pakistan’s foreign policy in tribal areas for the very first time which eventually converted into an organized anti-government campaign headed by Molana Fazal-Ur-Rehman. In the first week of October 1999 we all saw clear remonstrations against Nawaz Sharif at various places, remember, that in these protests PPP was not in alpha company, perhaps due to its policies on Kashmir and Afghanistan which were not that much different from Nawaz’s. Finally on October 12th 1999, when PML (N) government was killed, all oppositional leaders including Baynazir, Molana Fazal-Ur-Rehman and Qazi Hussain Ahmed fully supported the military, ignorant masses were boosting that now Pakistan will not support US war in Afghanistan nor there’ll be any professional deal on Kashmir.

Nawaz Sharif remained in incarceration for 13 months, that was the period when his loyal wife Begum Kulsoom Nawaz jumped in political dojo; no doubt she performed well than various gallant party men for the freedom of her husband. It was all her endeavors that PML (N) became able to form ARD with the collaboration of PPPP. Few days after its formation Ms. Kulsoom Nawaz succeeded to take out her man from incarceration and sending her whole family to Jeddah. In this entire process we all had seen during this 13 months imprisonment members of PML (N) didn’t even suppose to launch a campaign against the government, rather than this, majority of party men joined PML (Q), sensible minds can easily get that chief reason of this inclination was Nawaz’s running stance.

Now question arises why Nawaz Sharif has now turned so much dangerous for the government? Has he organized his party on revolutionary basis or something? The reality is this; President General Pervaiz Musharraf has also done those political flaws that were so committed by Nawaz Sharif which later resulted the dissolution of his regime. Musharraf’s combat with judiciary and mass media is wide and clear to all of us. Today Syed Ali Gilani, the well-known Kashmiri freedom fighter is strongly opposing Musharraf’s Kashmir policy likewise he did to the Nawaz Sharif’s one. Government’s strategy on Afghanistan has now proved completely failed and pernicious for our prosperity, development and security. Destination of Pak-arms in tribal areas for the sake of assisting so-called war against terrorism has terribly enhanced the rift between masses and military, it is shoring up extremism, tribal youth is being frequently used for suicidal attacks in order to express their hater for the government and now this deadly exercise has reached to our big cities, which has not only worsening our peace and security but also our economy, this revengeful reaction has been interpreting as terrorism by foreign media that has stopped foreign investors and traders to step in our land, and that’s the reason why our industrial sector is falling down. Beyond doubt, our damn assistance to occidentals in WAR AGAINST TERRORISM (I must name it ENDEAVOR LARGELY FOR MUSLIM OIL OCCUPATION) is placing devastating impacts not only on our economy but also on our politics and social order too which is apparently a crying shame for us. It is only our government who is showing flexibility and elasticity on Kashmir issue while on the other side India is strongly adhering on its traditional obstinacy constantly asserting Kashmir as it integral part, why our government is bowing so much before that canny and dominating Hindu? I’m sure there must be any proper solution that could sort out this matter along with preserving our due dignity and self-esteem, than why our policy makers aren’t designing Kashmir assignment on such lines? Pakistani people are very touchy on the issues of Kashmir and our nuclear program and the aforementioned government posture on Kashmir has contributed a lot in lowering down Musharraf’s reputation, the issues of Chief Justice of Supreme Court, attacks on private channels, inflation, poverty, unemployment, deprivation of provinces from their due rights, no reduction in corruption are also various other factors standing second.

Now despite such hateful government acts PPPP is showing its verge towards stratocratic ruler and busy in doing deals with government’s officials plus DG of ISI General Ishfaq Hussain Kyani which entirely goes against the notion of any true democratic party, thus this act has disfigured and some how denigrated Ms. Bhutto and her party. While on the other side Nawaz Sharif is standing on the oppositional corner simply not ready nor interiorly intending to negotiate or reconcile with stratocracy, hence this attitude has boosted up his reputation and fame among the common as a real leader of the public (remember that our observation entirely based on superficial postures of PML (N)). Such political behavior of Nawaz Sharif eventually resulted the formation of ALL PARTY DEMOCRATIC MOVEMENT (APDM), we can’t name this alliance “JUI” as JUI is a party that was formed by ISI in 1988 while presently Inter Services Intelligence is busy in making liaison with Ms. Bhutto. JUI solely contained conservative parties while in APDM we are seeing the presence of leaders like Asfandyar Wali, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Rasool Baqsh Paleejo, Dr. Qadir Magsi etc. Though common man has great dissention on the policies that these leaders have on Kashmir and Afghanistan but by standing against Pervaiz Musharraf these men have really changed the scene of Pakistan’s politics.

In the first week of September 2007 Supreme Court permitted Mr. Nawaz Sharif to come to Pakistan for participating in upcoming elections, leaders of APDM assured him warm welcome and due security and protocol on the motherland but when he arrived at Pakistan’s airport he was once again exiled to Jeddah after being mal-treated. Mr. Imran Khan and Qazi Hussain Ahmed who had to arrange welcome at the airport pretended that the government has home-confined them; their demonstration of putative detention was nothing but their reluctance which clearly portrays the lack of unity and shameful fragmentation of APDM. Such crying humiliation of ex-premier has further defaced government; people who were already fed up with social crises have now started abusing Musharraf and his establishment. The above treatment of the government has not only distorted Pakistan’s customs at globally and insulted Supreme Court’s decision but also served its best to infect our genial terms with our brotherly country Saudi Arabia. In addition to this elegance, Supreme Court adjudged on September 28th, 2007 that President is eligible to participate in Presidential election along with keeping his military hat of COAS but a day later he is restricted to take off his military uniform. We all know that Washington still wants him to lead Pakistan; we all know that none of civilian politicians are smart enough to compete him, so definitely his chance to be elected for the new term is very strong then through what face can we expect that he will take off his military hat after becoming future President? I’m very much concerned about it, Musharraf’s eight years ruling record has turned him unworthy to be trusted. Yes, if Pentagon and EU order him to resign from COAS office then there is complete surety that he’ll become a civilian President. But you know what? If he resigns from military then he will be no longer in military circle and thus will lose GHQ support as the subjective back lasts as long as you are the part of that community, so this situation goes completely against the wants of whites’ WAR AGAINST TERRORISM. So according to my absurd perception Musharraf will not take off his uniform.

Now coming towards parliamentarian elections are to be held in close November, here PPPP being pro-GHQ has strong chance to be elected with majority. So the only solution so left for Nawaz Sharif is to launch an efficacious anti-stratocratic movement by forming a strong nexus of oppositional parties, he must broach a bloody revolution based on righteous fundamentals, but how can we expect such undaunted action from a person who couldn’t even tolerate prison’s hardships? So people, right now we can only pray, watch and see, ALLAH knows well when Pakistan will see the face of a true leader having temperaments of QUAID-E-AZAM.

LONG LIVE PAKISTAN.
