Indo-Afghan nexus: A threat to Pakistan:

The recent visit of Afghan defense minister Mr. Abdur-Raheem Vardak to Indian occupied Kashmir has turned all Kashmiries skeptical in the entire world. A group of seven Afghan delegates headed by Abdur-Raheem Vardak met with higher officials of Indian arms and ministry of defense at 15th Cor head quarter of Jammu and Kashmir. Before visiting that disputed region Vardak had a meeting with Indian defense minister Mr. A. K. Anthony and Indian commanders of all three arms in New Delhi, there, a decision was finalized of sending Afghan troops in Jammu and Kashmir where they’ll jointly exercise against Kashmiri freedom fighters. Well, this Indo-Afghan military liaison is highly extra-ordinary episode and cannot be taken as a mere normal event at all. Before the promulgation of Indo-Afghan mutual military practice in the region; world has seen American and British martial exercises against Kashmiri freedom fighters (Mujahideens), not only this, Israeli commanders have also shared their warring strategies with Indians that they applied against Palestinians during Intafada campaign.

Another point that is worth mentioning is this; Afghan defense minister has visited Jammu and Kashmir at the time when Russian Federation with the collaboration of US and NATO forces wants to gain advantages in Afghanistan. It is known to everyone that the nurturing of Indo-Afghan ties began after the downfall of Taliban regime in Afghanistan. This is after 29 years that Indian premier visited Kabul, in 1976 Indra Gandhi came to Afghanistan, after this the very next visit has now been made by Mr. Man Mohan Singh with Rahool Gandhi who had confidently accredited his clan as breakers of Pakistan in one of his addresses in late 2006. We know that after the establishment of Karzai’s puppet government in Afghanistan India has started firming its relation with this precious land-locked terrain, currently near about 400 Indian arms are busy inside Afghanistan in Indo-Tibet police uniform and close to 4000 are consistently active in various Afghan cities in civil get-up.

Contemporary Afghanistan is quite different from the 2001’s. We are now seeing tri-color flag hoisting on the top of Indian embassy in Kabul, its general consulates are freely functioning in the big cities of Afghanistan namely Qandhar, Jalalabad, Mazar Sharif and Herat. Indian engineers are busy in Afghanistan’s infrastructure development and on the superficial name of their security number of Indian commandos are zipping out there. Beyond doubt Indian influence is drastically encompassing the whole Afghan territory. Likewise it colonized Nepal now it is slyly gazing Afghanistan. Nepalese Mao fighters are completely estuated and now they are intensely endeavoring for the abrogation of Indo-Nepal friendship treaty of 1950s which is actually a shrewd Indian draft of colonizing Nepal. But on the side of Afghanistan we are not seeing such awakenness, presently pro-Northen alliance Afghan government is solely sunk in Indian romance that has blenched him to consider national and ideological benefits, but later when it will realize them it would be too late.

India has always played most active role in worsening Pak-Afghan terms with sufficient back of western powers and this process is still going on. Afghanis are now being used beyond borders against Pakistan and the recent visit of Afghan defense minister in Indian occupied Kashmir is the part of this chapter. All these movements are just to gain access towards Central Asian oil and gas storages, those who have devastated Afghanistan are now using it as a pawn against its brotherly neighbor for the accomplishment of their colonial agendas. India has great strategic benefits inside Afghanistan; he is very keen to bring in Central Asian electricity, oil and gas. Indian government is very desirous to hail itself with IPI and Turkmenistan gas pipeline projects, on the format of Sino-Pak joint venture of Gawader India is quite willing to collaborate with Iran in the project of Gulf Oman and for its implementation Afghan route is indispensable.

So these are some chief reasons why India is striving to efface Islamabad’s influence over Kabul. Indian agencies and masterminds are busy in generating insurrections and brackishness that are effectively widening the rift between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Thus at this juncture it is critical for the new Pakistani government to equally consider internal and external disputes. Nowadays the newly arrived government has entangled itself in judiciary crises, well, we do not deny its importance at all but neglecting other issues is not prudent either. This is the time for our policy makers and institute of strategic studies to sit and design expeditious and efficacious measures how to tackle regional and international tribulations and propagandas, I must say this all must be done as swift as possible. Internal and external matters must be dealt and counterpoised on parallel basis otherwise tide shall cross our heads that would be very subversive.
